A Milwaukee college student nearly killed by a hit-and-run driver in Milwaukee returned home after two months in the hospital.
Xiong entered the hospital with brain trauma, a torn heart valve, injured lungs, a broken pelvis and a shattered right leg.
Ten weeks after a medically induced coma and multiple surgeries, she spoke to WISN 12 News Friday as she left the hospital.
“I can sit up,” she said. “I can move around. I’m just waiting to get my voice back and walk with two feet.”
