May 6-8. 31-year-old man injured when hit by a blue Honda sedan which fled Tuesday; 30-year-old bicyclist injured when sideswiped by a gray PT Cruiser which fled on Monday; 4-year-old boy injured while playing when struck by a gold car, possibly a late-model Buick, which left the scene on Sunday.
2523. Concord, Cal. May 8. 4-year-old girl expected to survive after being struck by a newer model, light blue pickup truck with oversized tires that fled the scene.
2524. Savannah, Ga. May 8. 29-year-old man injured when struck by a vehicle which fled the scene and was later recovered, but the driver has not been found.
2525. Phoenix, Az. May 7. 60-year-old mother of nine children broke both legs, her back, and suffered several cuts and deep bruises when struck by an early 2000’s Chevy or GMC white pickup with a white bed cover which fled the scene.

“Soft hits — there was no scratches in the paint. It was just indents. I thought he hit an animal,” Castro said. “Again, I asked him what he had hit, and he just completely changed the conversation. He was very cautious to what he was saying.”
Once he saw police reports about a hit-and-run that injured UM student Eliza Gresh in South Miami, he reached out to police.
“I said, ‘Man, that’s the car I have,'” Castro said. “I have a young daughter, a 20-year-old daughter. If that happened to me, I would appreciate someone doing it for me.”
