11658. A 65-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run Friday night in Chicago’s Jefferson Park neighborhood on the city’s Northwest Side, according to CPD.
11659. When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been hit by a car. The driver had already left. The woman, who hasn’t been identified, was taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries.

The wife of the man accused in the fatal hit-and-run of a retired police sergeant who was biking last week in New Hampshire was arraigned Monday on charges that she hindered the police investigation. Angela Sprowl, 39, of Rochester, N.H., is accused of trying to hide her husband from police at a Portsmouth motel.
11661. Boston police are continuing to search for the driver of an SUV which struck and injured a young boy as he walked to school in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood on Wednesday.
11662. “I didn’t know what to do,” he said. “I panicked, and I called my grandma once I saw him U-turn because I didn’t know what he was thinking.”
11663. Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver responsible for hitting a child riding an electric scooter in San Francisco.
11664. A caller reported a woman in a wheelchair crossing Brinker Road had been struck by a white Toyota sedan.

The Wilmington Police Department has identified a woman killed in a hit and run on Market Street Friday morning. 30-year-old Stephanie Chesire died from injuries sustained from the hit and run. She was hit around 4:30 a.m. Friday at the 4300 block of Market Street. EMS arrived on scene and determined she had died.
11666. “How are you not going to know someone is under your car like that? That’s crazy,” a man said. Chester police are urging anyone who might have seen that initial crash to contact detectives. “All you can do is hope for the best for the family,” Ward said.
11667. Bravopaz’s daughter Julia said he was a hard-working father of four who was heading home from his job as a garment worker the night he was fatally struck.
11668. “That’s horrible,” Jeanette Mourino of Williams Avenue said. “People drive here like they’re on the highway. As a grandparent of two children, I’m extremely concerned. They’ve got to do something before another child is killed.”
11669. A driver wanted in an Arlington hit-and-run that injured a 5-year-old a week ago, turned himself in to police on Thursday evening, Sept. 30.
11670. “She loved to cook. She was hardworking,” said a speaker at the vigil. “And she would not go to school without having her bed made.”
11671. LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Metro Police are still searching for a driver that hit and killed a 15-year-old pedestrian in the southwest valley last month.
11672. “She was taken from us too soon,” said her sister Lliani Gardiner. “I love her so much. She deserved so much more from this life.”
11673. The victim, Ofelia Merlene Proa, 19, of San Juan suffered major injuries in the crash and died after being transported to a local hospital.

11675. The child was riding her bicycle in the area between Sikorsky Lane and Raven Road around 2:30 p.m. Saturday when she was struck, according to the Clarksville Police Department. The child’s father took her to the hospital, where she was last reported to be in serious but stable condition.
11676. The victim was not found until 7 a.m. the next day when officers discovered him lying in a ditch. He was then transported to a local hospital and alter transferred to a hospital in Chicago.
11677. A cyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash along Roosevelt Boulevard on Tuesday night, Philadelphia police said. It happened around 7:30 p.m. in the city’s Summerdale neighborhood.
