11864. “I just heard a loud bang, I came outside and there’s four — one, two, three, four — children scattered in front of my apartment complex,” another caller said. “I just checked one, I got a pulse. She’s twitching. I’m not sure about the other two. But some civilians are near them.”
11865. The hit-and-run case of a 92-year-old woman killed in El Paso’s Mission Valley remains open. The El Paso Police Department asks for help finding the driver involved through the Crime of The Week. On March 7, 2021, Petra Zamorano, 92, attempted to cross the 8300 block of Alameda Avenue from the south curb to the north curb. When Zamorano was crossing, a car traveling west on Alameda struck her. The driver did not stop and fled westbound on Troy Avenue towards Yarbrough Drive.
11866. Philadelphia Police say a woman was killed by a hit-and-run driver while crossing the street Friday night in East Oak Lane. According to investigators, the 64-year-old victim was hit on the 6300 block of Crescentville Road just after 7 p.m.
“Accidents happen but you don’t just leave and have no disregard for human life,” said the victim’s son, Stanley Kee.
11867. A 30-year-old woman is in critical condition after she was hit by a vehicle in Pittsburgh’s Homewood South neighborhood Saturday night, officials said.
11868. Durham police are looking into a hit-and-run from Saturday night where a pregnant woman suffered life-threatening injuries.
11869. WEST ALLIS, Wis. — West Allis police are trying to find a hit-and-run driver after they say the vehicle hit and killed a 20-year-old pedestrian who was crossing the road Tuesday morning.
11870. While standing near the front of the truck, another driver side-swiped the car at a high rate of speed. The 71-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
11871. ACWORTH, Ga. — A 7-year-old girl with autism was hit and killed Sunday night in Acworth, police said. She left her home without her parents knowing.
11872. Honolulu police are investigating a hit-and-run in Kaneohe that left an 18-year-old woman in serious condition. Authorities said the incident happened at around 6:40 a.m. Wednesday when a motorcycle struck a woman who crossing the street.
11873. “I was rushing to the door, but I also had my phone in my hand trying to call him to see why the state police were coming here asking about him. That’s just how we were. I didn’t get him of course. When I answered the door, I found out why,” Burton said.
11874. “It’s very sad, it’s heartbreaking,” said resident Taqulia Curtis. “I take these streets every day to come to work and go home and i bank here so it’s really bad. It’s sad.”
11875. “The person who hit me just left me there, drove off. Didn’t get out of the car. Didn’t do anything. Just left me there,” said Criner. “And if he wouldn’t have found me, there is a high probability that I would have died.”
11876. “We’ve got a scene there that stretches well over a block. And there’s a lot of points of interest there. So, the technical piece is very complex and it’s going to take our investigators a while to put it together. So we’re still working to find out where the pedestrian was when he was struck by the car,” Des Moines police Sgt. Paul Parizek said.
