Was This Really Necessary, Philadelphia Parking Authority?

Driving down Midvale Avenue — at the bend between St. Bridget Catholic Church and the East Falls Shamrock — on Friday afternoon, I noticed the pretty jacked-up car pictured above.

The front is smashed in. The airbags were deployed. Injuries had apparently occurred.

But there, on the windshield, under a wiper, was a ticket issued by the Philadelphia Parking Authority.

Listen, I get it, wrecked cars should be removed. But was it really necessary to ticket the damn thing, PPA? What good does that do other than reinforce your reputation as vultures?

Hope everybody’s OK.
