Following in the tradition of candidates in political races I’ve covered stopping by Billy Murphy’s Irish Saloonery for a Quizzo appearance — a la Jim Kenney, Doug Oliver, Milton Street and Melissa Murray Bailey in the mayoral race — U.S. Sen. candidate John Fetterman is slated to stop by this Tuesday (3/8/16).
No, the U.S. Senate Dem. primary hasn’t gotten all that much attention locally, what with Donald Trump’s escapades dominating newscasts. But Pa.’s registered voters can go to the polls next month to decide whether Fetterman, Katie McGinty or Joe Sestak should advance to face incumbent U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey in the fall. (McGinty is scheduled to stop by Quizzo next month; Sestak declined the invitation).
In any event, here’s a link to an introductory-style interview I did with Fetterman a couple months back. He’s a unique figure in the race — and politics in general — for sure. Hope you can stop by to check it out.
Time: 8:30 p.m. Tuesday (March 8)
Location: Billy Murphy’s Irish Saloonery, 3333 Conrad St. (corner of Conrad and Indian Queen Lane), East Falls section of Philadelphia, 19129
