It’s nice to see that hit-and-run victim Polina Kadiyska is still in local hearts and minds. A Rock School parent — where Polina attended, where Polina aspired to become a ballerina before being so tragically killed in South Philly — steered my attention toward “Passion Print Sale ~ National Dance Week ~ Polina Kadiyska Benefit.”
I’ll let Brian Mengini Photography take it from here:
National Dance Week starts Friday April 20th and goes til April 29th.
For that period only, we will be conducting our first ever print sale.
Though I did not know her personally, I felt very affected by the sudden and tragic death of Polina Kadiyska. Polina was the young ballerina from the Rock School who was killed in a hit and run accident. As I watched all of her friends deal with this great loss, I felt a need to do something. I also feel a strong and intimate connection to the Rock school as many of the dancers there come through my studio. I am good friends with some of the families still as well as some of the dancers. So, with that, I wanted to help in some way.
This print sale is for Polina’s family. All of the proceeds go to them.
We have 200 posters to sell during this time. Once NDW is over, the fundraising stops.
The poster is full color with a white border. It is 18×24 and will cost a meager $15 plus $5 shipping per order. The dancer in the poster is NOT Polina.
I wanted to create this event so I could make sure you all knew about it. Many of you have asked about buying my work in the past. Now, here is your chance.
Any questions, please let me know. You can also email me @ brian @ bmengini dot com.
Again, these posters go on sale NEXT Friday, the 20th!!
