Let the futbol record reflect that on Sept. 21, 2013, Louden Hickey (red team, No. 9, shown above trailing the play in true Xavi fashion) scored his first goal against competition not named his dad.

It came in a scrimmage during week three of the East Falls Sports Association soccer program.

Granted, there were no goaltenders.

Granted, he swooped in and took it off a teammate’s foot (Adrianna) about a yard from the goal line.

But a goal’s a goal, lest Cristiano Ronaldo not even be mentioned in the same sentence as Lionel Messi, amirite?

It was the decisive score of the match.

Big times call for big-time players.

Kudos, Louden. And kudos to all the 3- and 4-year-olds in today’s EFSA happenings.
