Sure looks that way from court documents stemming from a recent pre-trial conference which state “Defense request for further discussions with the Commonwealth; possible non -trial.”

I’ll dig around on it and post when I learn something. (And thanks to the tipster for whom I’m not sure if I’m clear to publicly ID).

Also of interest: The scumbag lawyer who seemingly blamed Polina for getting struck and killed on Broad Street in March is off the case.

By taking responsibility, Deandre Barnes would certainly save Polina’s family the pain of a trial, I know that much. (Previous posts about Polina, and a recent post for NewsWorks)

I really do appreciate the updates about the case. She was a friend of mine and I hope she gets the justice she deserves. This event was the worst thing many of us have experienced. May she always Rest In Peace.

You’re quite welcome. Sorry for all that those who knew Polina have gone through.

It’s my suspicion that justice will be served.
