Weston, Fla. victim Louis Abrams

Weston, Fla. victim Louis Abrams

An ongoing collection of unsolved hit-and-run cases, with a focus on car/pedestrian incidents, from across the country since Jan. ‘010. If you know something about any of these incidents, or one that I’ve missed, do the right thing and call the police, even anonymously.

248. Weston, Fla. April 6. 68-year-old man whose car had broken down struck and killed, but “there’s no report on the make or model of the car” that hit-and-ran.

249. Dallas. April 4. 24-year-old woman suffers serious injuries after being struck and thrown by a car when she had to get out and check for a flat tire. No make or model available in this one, either.

250. Madison, Wisc. April 5. 49-year-old man suffers potentially life-threatening injuries after a black SUV strikes him while he tried to cross the street.

251. Bloomfield, Ind. April 6. 19-year-old bicyclist struck by a Dodge Stratus, the driver of which was caught because a witness ID’d the vehicle before he fled the scene. (Good stuff.)

252. Ogletown, Del. April 6. 16-year-old boy fatally struck by a “dark [vehicle], possibly with bluish headlights, and likely has front end damage” that ran a red light while apparently street-racing with a Ford Mustang.

253. Barrington, RI. April 7. 10-year-old boy suffers minor injuries when struck by an SUV from which a female driver emerged, spoke with victim and then left scene.

254. Kannapolis, NC. April 7. Two 12-year-old boys hospitalized when their go-kart was struck by an “older model, silver Ford minivan” that left evidence at the scene. (A big help.)

255. Baton Rouge, La. April 7. Yet-to-be-publicly-identified man on bicycle fatally struck early morning by an unidentified vehicle.
