An ongoing collection of unsolved hit-and-run cases, with a focus on car/pedestrian incidents, from across the country since Jan. ‘010. If you know something about any of these incidents, or one that I’ve missed, do the right thing and call the police, even anonymously.

9516-17. Bland County, Va. Feb. 20. 69-year-old and 66-year-old women fatally struck by a which fled the scene; driver later arrested.

9518. Atlanta, Ga. Feb. 19. 59-year-old woman fatally struck by two vehicles, one of which fled the scene.

9519. Concord, Cal. Feb. 19. Woman injured when struck by a vehicle which fled the scene.

9520. Sylmar, Cal. Feb. 21. Woman in her late 20s fatally struck by a dark-colored sedan which fled the scene.

9521. Edmond, Wash. Feb. 19. Man injured when struck by a pick-up truck which fled the scene.

9522. Allentown, Pa. Feb. 21. Woman injured when struck by a vehicle which fled the scene.

9523. Sanger, Cal. Feb. 21. Bicyclist injured when struck by a vehicle which fled the scene.

9524-25. Los Angeles, Cal. Feb. 22. 32-year-old woman killed and 2-year-old she was carrying injured when struck by a vehicle which fled the scene.

9526. Tulsa, Okla. Feb. 23. 16-year-old male injured when struck by SUV which fled the scene; vehicle located later.

9527-29. Rochester, NH. Feb. 20. Three pedestrians injured when struck by a vehicle which fled the scene.

9530. Memphis, Tenn. Feb. 22. Man fatally struck by a silver Mustang which fled the scene.

9531. Ladysmith, Wisc. Feb. 22. 57-year-old man fatally struck by vehicle which fled the scene; driver later identified.

The man accused of killing a young Denver lawyer in an October hit-and-run collisionhad been deported in 2007 only to return illegally to the U.S., where he was arrested twice before the deadly crash, authorities say.

Norlan Estrada-Reyes, 27, who was born in Sulaco, Honduras, had twice been accused of crimes in Denver, including driving under the influence. After a 2013 arrest, he posted bond and was released before U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement reached him. In the other case, in 2014, ICE was not aware of his arrest.

Then, on Oct. 30, police say he was behind the wheel of a full-size Ford pickup truck that struck and killed 28-year-old Karina Pulec as she was crossing the street at East 13th Avenue and Broadway, dragging her 50 feet.

“This is my beautiful mother and we miss her so much, she’s everything to all of us,” daughter Sue Kolcz said at a news conference Wednesday, clutching her mother’s photo. “She was left to die and I was left to see a picture of her under a yellow tarp with her bare feet sticking out. NORRISTOWN >> Known as “Princess Mean Streak,” a former member of a Hatfield-based women’s roller derby team, has found herself in a jam, facing a penalty in jail for a hit off the rink that left another woman injured.

Maureen Maher, 41, of the 2700 block of Mower Street, Philadelphia, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court on Thursday to 90 days to five years in jail after she pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of accidents involving personal injury and driving under the influence of alcohol in connection with a hit-and-run incident involving another driver in Hatfield and a subsequent impact with a sign post in Lower Moreland that occurred on May 21, 2016.
