9625. Millcreek Twp., Pa. April 16. 85-year-old man fatally struck by a black Honda sedan which fled the scene.

9626. Dayton, Ohio. April 16. 52-year-old man fatally struck by several vehicles which fled the scene.

9627. Milford, Mass. April 16. 4-year-old boy fatally struck by a dark-colored 2010 Chevy Traverse and a light-colored, possibly silver or gray, 2015 or 2016 Nissan Rogue which fled the scene.

9628. Tukwila, Wash. April 16. 27-year-old man injured when struck by a vehicle which fled the scene.

9629. Indio, Cal. April 16. Woman injured when struck by a white, newer model Toyota Tacoma which fled the scene.

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Police say a man has been arrested and charged in a hit-and-run in Upper Darby that injured a young girl and her great-aunt.

Authorities say 30-year-old Caliph Douglass was being sought in Philadelphia during a dirt bike and ATV roundup Saturday afternoon. He took off on a dirt bike and was being chased by officers when he made his way into Upper Darby.

A motorist involved in a hit-and-run accident in which he drove under the influence and hit two men trying to cross the street in the Midway District, dragging one victim more than 800 feet and disfiguring him, pleaded guilty Monday to mayhem, DUI, hit-and-run and evading police.

“Arresting this guy is not going to bring my wife back. We’ve been attempting to do the best we can to move on with life,” Richard Eddinger said. “I don’t think the gentleman meant to hit my wife, but unfortunately he made a decision for whatever reason to leave the scene of the crime. We really felt sorry for him. He’s the one who had to live with it every day.”

When officers contacted Pasik, he told officers that, “I was in a bad crash … I was so scared, so I fled the crash,” the police report said.

Black could have spent the rest of the year behind bars for the February 13 accident.  Instead, a San Diego Superior Court Judge ordered him to get back to work and get back to taking care of his ailing grandmother.
