A 28-year-old New Jersey man has been arrested in the hit-and-run that’s left a Columbia University student clinging to life, police say.

The man, Brayard Arno of Prospect Park, turned himself in to authorities early Tuesday before he was formally arrested on charges including leaving the scene of an accident and aggravated unlicensed operation.

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A two-year prison sentence was handed down Wednesday for a motorist who fled after fatally injuring a man near his home in Lincoln Park two months ago.

Darius Jordan Runnells, 22, pleaded guilty last month to hit-and-run resulting in death.

Syracuse, NY — A Syracuse driver who remains on the lam after a hit-and-run crash that killed a 2-year-old girl will face a second-degree manslaughter charge when caught, police said Wednesday.

But a since-fired Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office investigator who’s accused of leaving an 18-year-old pedestrian to diein March after a hit-and-run crash isn’t charged with a homicide.

WILMINGTON (CBSLA.com) – Police arrested two people and were searching for two others in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in Wilmington Thursday afternoon.

Los Angeles police report that a Ford F-150 pickup truck was turning left when it swerved and drove up onto a sidewalk at about 3:17 p.m. and struck four people at the intersection of North Fries Avenue and East E Street. One person died and three others were hurt. Their conditions were not confirmed.

PORTLAND, Ore. – The suspect in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 15-year-old Portland girl on Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard last year has removed his monitoring device and is now on the run, police say.

Abdulrahman Sameer Noorah, 21, has felony warrants for first-degree manslaughter, hit-and-run, reckless endangering and reckless driving.

Noorah is suspected of hitting and killing Fallon Smart, who was crossing Hawthorne Boulevard in August of 2016.
