A 33-year-old Fair Lawn woman was charged in a hit-and-run accident that killed her husband, Bergen County prosecutors announced Tuesday.

Ammara Chaudhry was involved in a domestic dispute with her husband Daniel Offield, 35, on the morning of Saturday, May 6, near their Koenig Court home in Fair Lawn, police said. Offield, in an attempt to prevent her from leaving the area, jumped on the hood of Chaudhry’s vehicle, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir Grewal.

CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — An Idaho driver who fled the scene after striking a man and his two daughters as they were walking — killing the father — was sentenced Monday to serve up to one year in a “rider” prison rehabilitation program.

“I’m angry. I’m beyond angry. I don’t know how… if she’s a mother herself, so how could she as a mother, leave a child on the ground? In the street? What kind of mother would do something like that?” Bueno said.

Pennsylvania State Police have charged a man in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash in Upper Mifflin Township in December.

John Michael Sullivan, 48, of Lower Mifflin Township, was charged Thursday with felony accidents involving death or personal injury, misdemeanor tampering with physical evidence, summary failure to stop and give aid and failure to report accident to police.

Sullivan was traveling south in the 500 block of Roxbury Road around 7:15 p.m. Dec. 16 when he struck 25-year-old Charles K. Deimler, of Newburg, who was walking along the road, police said.

Sullivan did not stop to help or call police, according to police, and Deimler died as a result of his injuries.

BEAR, Del. – A Gloucester County man faces murder charges after he pinned his victim between two vehicles outside a Delaware restaurant and then ran away from the scene, authorities said.

Elder Saavedra, 24, of Swedesboro, was arrested Tuesday in the deadly hit-and-run that occurred March 26 in the parking lot of El Nuevo Rodeo Restaurant in Bear, Del.

The parents of the young boy critically injured in a May 17 school bus collision caused by a hit-and-run driver celebrated his seventh birthday on Friday with a statement thanking God for his “survival and recovery.”

 And I quote (VIII)…

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A 1-year-old boy outside of a home was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run Friday night on Augusta Street off Beatties Ford Road, police said.

Keith Rivera was charged with one felony hit and run with personal injury and two misdemeanor hit and runs with property damage.

Rivera hit a vehicle, jumped a curve and also hit the home before fleeing on foot.

“Brenda spent years in the military serving her country, fighting in wars, just to come back to the United States to get run over and left on the busy street of New Jersey to die,” the victim’s sister, Angel Howell, said during the hearing.

“To run and hide does not sit well with me at all and I want justice for Doug, he deserves that,” Hindle says.

SAN ANTONIO – A woman was arrested for hitting a wheelchair-bound man with her car and not stopping.

Police said the victim, 58, was riding his motorized wheelchair in the street when a white Honda hit him from behind.

A man died in Visalia on Saturday night after a woman intentionally hit him with a car, according to Visalia police, and she is now being sought by authorities.

WILLIAMSTOWN, KY. (LEX 18)– Police have charged an individual in a hit and run fatal collision involving a pedestrian on March 4.

Jose Jacinto Contreras, 30, of Greenville, Ohio was walking on Stewartsville Road in Williamstown when he was fatally struck by a vehicle.

A woman is pleading with the Tucson community to help find the man responsible for killing her parents in a hit-and-run crash.

Brianne Davis was relieved to hear the drunken driver who struck and killed her husband, Bill, as he rode his bicycle along a Boulder County road last year receive the maximum sentence, but it still felt like a “slap in the face,” because nothing can bring him back, and justice can never really be served

And I quote (XVI)…

A 31-year-old man was charged Tuesday with second-degree homicide after he allegedly drove over two young men at a Washington campground, one of whom later died. But the Quinault Indian Nation believes he should also be charged with a hate crime. Based on a firsthand account from a “tribal youth,” the Quinault Indian Nation says “the driver was screaming racial slurs and war whoops when he ran over the two tribal members” around 1:30am Saturday, reports the Seattle Times.
