13865. Shanna Rankin was a wife and mother of eight ranging in age from five to 24. “My little sister is asking me every day, ‘My mommy’s in heaven. Are you sure or are you tricking me?’” said Aliyah Rankin.
13866. ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — St. Pete Police said they are looking for a driver involved in a hit-and-run that left a woman in critical condition on Sunday morning.
13867. The East Lansing Police Department is investigating after a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday.

A distressing investigative report by Kerry Kavanaugh and Marina Villeneuve at Channel 25 examines hit-and-run fatalities in the state and found that “no one in Massachusetts is tracking how often cases in our state end up getting solved.” Compiling their own database, the reporters found at least 23 unsolved hit-and-run fatalities.
13869. LAWRENCE, IND — A woman was hit and killed as she was crossing the street last night, and the driver left the scene. The incident occurred shortly after 11:00 p.m. last night at the 4400 block of N Franklin Rd.
13870. I-55 southbound at Lindbergh was shut down for a while overnight while authorities investigated what happened. Thompson added that the woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. At this point, Thompson said that the medical examiner is still trying to make a positive identification of the woman. So we still don’t know her name or exact age.
13871. A man died in a hit-and-run crash Monday afternoon in Turlock. Turlock police were called to the 3100 block of West Christoffersen Parkway just before 6:00 p.m. for the report of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. When officers arrived they located a man in the center median with severe head trauma.
13872. “A valet driver was struck and his leg was run over. It appears to be accidental but the driver did not leave any information and left the scene after asking the Valet what to do. My hope is that they come forward to admit their mistake in the leaving and this can be nothing bigger than it is. The valet had minor injuries from the crash and is expected to make a full recovery,” he said via email.
13873. The pedestrian, who was identified as Michael Wayne Foster, 54, was transported to Scotland Memorial Hospital but was later pronounced dead.
13874. Police are looking for the driver in connection to a hit-and-run crash in Phoenix that left a pedestrian seriously injured.

13877. The Oklahoma City Police Department is asking for your help in identifying a hit and run suspect. Authorities say around 10:30 Monday evening, officers responded to an auto-pedestrian accident in the area of I-240 and South May Avenue.
13878. LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A woman is dead after police say an unknown vehicle hit and killed her in an early morning collision before leaving the scene. The crash occurred at approximately 3:33 a.m. on Wednesday when a vehicle traveling south on Dean Martin Drive struck a person, identified as a woman in her 30s, in the roadway near Vicki Avenue. Police said the vehicle fled the scene. Sometime later, another individual found the person on the road and called police.
13879. A person is dead after a hit and run on New Bern Avenue in Raleigh Friday morning, according to police.
13880. On Wednesday night, a car fatally struck a 45-year-old man in the 2700 block of Dickerson Pike. That’s the fifth deadly hit-and-run crash in as many weeks. All five occurred after dark or before sunrise, and the Metro Nashville Police Department is still searching for the drivers in four of the five crashes.
13881. A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on the Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township Thursday night. The deadly crash happened around 6:40 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the Black Horse Pike near Bayport Drive in the West Atlantic City section of the New Jersey township. Police said the victim died on the roadway and the driver fled the scene. Police have yet to identify the victim.
13882. Robert A. Foster II, an accomplished ballroom dancer on the national level, told police at the scene that he could not recall being struck as he headed north on Lyndale, a police crash report read. “He was chatting with the EMTs and cops while at the scene, but once he got to the hospital, he seized,” Cara Foster wrote on an online fundraising campaign that she started to help with medical expenses. “They gave him some meds, then he seized again and again.”
13883. CREVE COEUR, Mo. – Authorities are seeking information about a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident at Old Olive West and Guelbreth Lane in Creve Coeur.
