13741. Officers responded to the area of Hamilton Street, just east of Hillside Avenue, around 11:39 p.m. and found 34-year-old Omar Espinal, of Hartford, with serious injuries, police said. He had apparently been struck by a vehicle that had left the scene. Police said Espinal was transported to Hartford Hospital and later died at the hospital.
13742. A woman whose body was found on the median of Pulaski Highway in northeast Baltimore was killed in a hit-and-run, police said.
13743. One person was injured by a hit-and-run while crossing a street in Oakland Wednesday, according to police.
13744. The Lafayette Police Department is conducting a hit and run traffic fatality investigation following a fatal crash in the 1300 block West Willow Street Thursday night. The crash claimed the life of Joan Brown Aragon, 59, of Abbeville.
13745. The woman, Kayla Walsh, told police she was crossing to 234 Wolf St. when a parked vehicle pulled out at a high speed and ran her over, said Lt. Matthew Malinowski, a Syracuse police spokesperson. The driver did not stop.
13746. A Florida hit-and-run suspect was arrested after speeding off with her victim clinging to the hood of her car for two miles, authorities said.
13747. A hit-and-run driver struck and critically injured a 17-year-old bicyclist early Friday in St. Paul’s North End.
13748. A man was killed after he was struck by a vehicle in Long Beach on Friday evening.
13749. A pedestrian was killed while crossing Louisiana Boulevard at its intersection with Indian School Road NE around 11:30 p.m. Friday night, an Albuquerque Police Department news release said.
13750. Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle connected to a deadly hit-and-run on Friday. The crash happened at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Frankford Avenue and East Ontario Street. Officers say a Silver Nissan was traveling southbound on Frankford Avenue when it struck a 57-year-old pedestrian who was walking across the intersection during a red light.
13751. A pedestrian was struck and killed in Long Beach on Friday evening by a driver who fled before authorities arrived.
13752. “I turned to my boyfriend and said oh my goodness she’s dragging a body,” Salazar said. “At that point, her vehicle was failing her, just given the situation, and she then pulled and stopped on the road.”
13753. Chicago police issued a community alert after a pedestrian was hit and seriously injured by a vehicle Saturday night on the city’s West Side.
13754. According to the Rock Hill Police Department, officers responded to Celanese Road near Riverview Road Saturday, October 7th just after 1 AM. When officers arrived, they found a 26-year-old male pedestrian in critical condition.
13755. Police were investigating a suspected hit and run in Everett that left one pedestrian dead Monday morning. Around 5:30 a.m., Everett police responded to reports of a body in the 3900 block on Broadway, officer Ora Hamel said. The deceased was a man in his 70s, according to police.
13756. A 41-year-old Canton man was killed in what police said was an intentional hit-and-run on Monday morning.
13757. A man is suffering from life-threatening injuries after allegedly being hit by a construction company employee, according to High Point police.
13758. A bicyclist was struck and killed in a hit-and-run collision in Rialto on Saturday, Oct. 7, and a man suspected to be the driver was being sought by authorities.
13759. A Greenwood man is accused of beating a man during a hit-and-run accident and threatening to kill officers during a nearly five-hour standoff last week. William Douglas Rees, 61, is charged with two counts of intimidation as a Level 5 felony and one count of intimidation as a Level 6 felony for the incidents that occurred on Greenwood’s east side Wednesday. He was arrested on Wednesday and was later released after paying bail.
13760. A Birmingham man was pronounced dead on the scene Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle. Geremy Earl Fantroy, 43, of Birmingham, was hit while in the 1700 block of Bessemer Road, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s office.
13761. According to Denton Police, officers were dispatched at about 10:19 p.m. on reports of a pedestrian being seriously injured after he was struck by a dark-colored Peterbilt truck cab with a livestock trailer. The victim, 60-year-old Christopher Yarmie, was taken to a local hospital and later died from his injuries.
