13704. DENVER (KDVR) — Police said a hit-and-run driver crashed into two pedestrian parole officers on Thursday, and one of them died.
13705. SWARTZ CREEK, MI — Police have identified the man they said ran into United Auto Workers strikers Tuesday at a local General Motors facility. Metro Police Authority of Genesee County Chief Matt Bade said Thursday, Sept. 18, they have submitted an investigation to prosecutors seeking charges against a 19-year-old Flint man in connection with a hit-and-run at the Flint Processing Center in Swartz Creek.
13706. HARTFORD — A woman was injured when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver Thursday, police said.
13707. A hit-and-run collision in the North City Farms neighborhood of Sacramento Thursday sent a pedestrian to the hospital, according to police.
13708. The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a deadly hit-and-run on Interstate 65. Around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night, 36-year-old Malcolm Lemoyne Love was walking in the southbound lanes of I-65 when he was fatally struck by an unknown driver who left the scene, according to a Jefferson County coroner report.
13709. The San Diego Police Department is investigating two hit-and-run accidents that happened within an hour Thursday night. One pedestrian, possibly riding a bicycle, was struck by a hit-and-run driver in the East Village. Fifteen minutes later, a 22-year-old man riding a scooter on the Fifth Avenue bike path was struck by a vehicle driving west on Ash Street in the downtown area.
13710. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a pickup truck that was involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 9-year-old boy.
13711. MURRAY, Utah (KUTV) — Officials are searching for the suspect of a fatal hit-and-run that occurred Friday night.
13712. New Orleans police sought leads Friday to a silver Nissan car in a fatal hit-and-run in Treme. They said they suspect the vehicle, a model 350-Z or 370-Z, hit and killed a pedestrian Sept. 21 on North Claiborne Avenue at St. Phillip Street. The victim’s name has not been released.
13713. Police are searching for the driver of an alleged hit-and-run crash that killed a man walking along a Gainesville road. The incident happened on Sept. 25 just before 8:30 p.m. near Spring Road and McEver Road. Police said 37-year-old Omer Morris, of Gainesville, was rushed to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
13714. Police are trying to find the driver involved in a hit-and-run in South Philadelphia early Sunday morning that left a man in critical condition. The man was rushed to the hospital after being struck near South 20th Street and Washington Avenue around midnight, according to police.
13715. Phoenix police officers responded to the area of 19th Avenue and Bethany Home Road early Saturday morning for an injured person. When officers arrived at the scene, they learned that the victim may have been hit by a car, police said. The car was no longer at the scene.
13716. A 22-year-old man is fighting for his life after he was hit by a car while riding a scooter in the downtown area on Thursday night. The victim was riding on the Fifth Avenue bike path when he was struck by a vehicle driving west on Ash Street at around 8:30 p.m., according to Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department.
13717. Philadelphia police are investigating a deadly hit and run in the city’s Rhawnhurst section. The victim was discovered on Bustleton Avenue near Solly Avenue around 3 a.m. on Monday by a passing motorist who alerted authorities. The 39-year-old victim was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.
13718. A pedestrian was struck and killed by an oncoming vehicle early Sunday morning in south Durango.
13719. Shortly after a woman was struck by a car in a hit-and-run Saturday night, a responding Baton Rouge police vehicle struck her again, according to police.
13720. GAINESVILLE, Ga. – Gainesville police need your help finding the driver who hit and killed a pedestrian on McEver Road Monday night. Officers say Omer Herman Lee Morris was walking down that street near its intersection with Spring Road in Gainesville at around 8:30 p.m. when he was hit by a black SUV pulling a small trailer. The driver left him for dead. “He had swelling on the brain, his neck had been broken, multiple fractures to the spine, a broken pelvis. His spleen had ruptured. He didn’t look like my brother,” Breeana Starling said.
13721. Las Vegas police are looking for a driver who hit and killed a bicyclist in the northeast valley.
13722. A 42-year-old man has died after he was struck by a vehicle while riding a scooter in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood Sunday morning.
