If you know something about any of these incidents, or one that I’ve missed, do the right thing and call the police, even anonymously.

1295. Romulus, Mich. Jan. 31. 49-year-old man hospitalized in critical condition after being struck by a 1997 Ford F-150 and left the area.

1296. Bakersfield, Ca. Feb. 1. 16-year-old girl struck and killed by a white 2002 to 2007 model Chevy Silverado four-door truck, driven by a Hispanic woman with black hair, which fled the scene.

1297. Carson City, Nev. Jan. 31. 19-year-old woman injured when struck by a small white foreign-made vehicle which fled the scene with possible body damage.

1298. Delray Beach, Fla. Feb. 2. Left two scooter riders in critical condition after being struck by a dark-colored, green or blue, 1996-2000 Honda Civic which fled the scene.

1299. Reno, Nev. Feb. 3. Man critically injured when struck by what’s believed to be a mid-sized sedan of a lighter color that briefly stopped before fleeing the scene.

1300. Cheltenham, Pa. Feb. 3. Mother of two woman struck and killed by a gray 4-door, possibly a Buick LaSabre which fled the scene.
Tia Robinson watched as innocent bystanders rushed to render aid to the victim. “It’s sad. They tried to help her for a while, a couple innocent people pulled over to try and help her, by then, some cops came and they were trying to help her as well, doing CPR.”

Richard Francis Oles, a fencing coach at the Johns Hopkins University for 45 years, was killed around 2:30 a.m. Police said Oles, 77, of Pasadena, was on the eastbound side of Mountain Road near Brumwell’s Flea Market when he was struck. The vehicle, a Ford pickup truck with a snowplow, left the scene without stopping.

A Bessemer City man has been charged in a hit-and-run wreck that injured two people and killed a horse named Leo.
The Gaston Gazette reports that 46-year-old Timothy George Hardin is being held at Gaston County Jail on a $20,000 bond for the Sunday wreck in Cherryville.

[Fort Lauderdale] Police have arrested a woman after she allegedly struck a 16-year-old girl with her vehicle Tuesday morning.

A man accused of a hit-and-run accident resulting in the death of a man in a wheelchair got co-workers to fix the damage on the truck the next morning, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday.
Mark Sperber, 39, of Forestville faces a felony count of hit and run resulting in death, a charge carrying a possible 25-year prison term.

Collinsville police say a suspect is in custody in the hit-and-run case that left a police dog injured. The person was arrested around 3:30 p.m. An ATV was recovered, police said. They’re not releasing the person’s identity.

Peters Township School District Athletic Director Richard Relich, 60, of Peters, will be charged with driving under the influence after he was involved in a hit-and-run accident.
