Here Are Some Random (And, Fittingly, Oft-Blurry) Photos From New Orleans
The sunset over New Orleans from the flight into town
Just got back from a four-day New Orleans bachelor-party vacation. Good times were had by all. Normally, I’d say three days is better than four, but since night four took us to Frenchman Street, it was worth the painful 5 a.m. wakeup to hit the airport on Monday.
Anyway, here are a few shots from the trip…
The night one view of the French Quarter
There was a truck selling ‘Philly Cheese Steaks’ on Canal Street. I dared not attempt those.
What I did try was Fish In A Bag …
… at Borgne …
Where the bachelor — the Right Rev. E.B. Webb — enjoyed a large beer.
The crab dish at Galatoire’s was to die for.
Missed this set unfortunately.
Also went to Ryan’s Irish Pub for the mighty Denver Broncos game vs. New England
HT’s Jessie Magee, who moved to NO in April, stopped by during the Broncos game!
A depressing walk to Frenchman St. brightened when a teenaged brass band was just tearing up the corner.
Frenchman Street club
(That guy with the red oval around him? Forget his name, but he and I were rapping for a while at the end of a Frenchman Street jazz bar. Turns out — and I could tell by his air — that he was the star of the friggin’ show, heading up on stage ala the old head in Arrested Development and tearing ish up. Great people.)
